Position: Actuarial Analyst Intern-San Francisco

Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma

Qualifications

Pursuing an undergraduate degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or other mathematics-related degrees
Interest in learning practical applications of actuarial science
Strong analytical skills and math aptitude
Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
Attention to detail and commitment to task
Strong GPA (minimum 3.3)
Strong computer skills
Ability to pass exams preferred
Good decision-making and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Through our training program and dynamic work environment, actuarial interns will work in a team structure and be involved in a variety of projects that include:

Interaction with client in administrative tasks that include client data, benefit calculations, and benefit statements
Annual pension and/or post-retirement medical plan valuation
Processing of participant data
Investment studies
Governmental compliance filings
Long-term projections of assets, liabilities, and contribution requirements
