Accountant/Process Improvement Consultant

(NYSE-BE) is one of the world's largest Management and Technology Consulting companies dedicated to aligning business and systems to empower Global 2000 companies and government organizations.BearingPoint Air Force Sector is currently searching for experienced Accounting/Finance Consultants in the Dayton, Ohio office.Performance Profile / Responsibilities:
Support Air Force Financial Management efforts to document business and related information system processes that culminate in the generation of Department of Air Force Financial Statements

Identify associated compliance risks in light of required mission capabilities, Federal Financial Regulations and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Support the development and presentation of recommendations for corrective action to resolve compliance issues

Support project efforts to assess client environment and desires in order to meet stated objectives

Exhibit good interpersonal communication skills while regularly interacting with senior-level government executives and Air Force officers

Occasional travel to client locations to conduct research and brief client and government personnel on findings and recommendationsPosition Specific Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years working experience and solid understanding of general business principles and government financial management standards

Bachelor degree in business discipline or Air Force related mission capability

Ability to pass National Agency Check (NAC) background check and obtain Secret Clearance (current clearance a plus, but not required)

Minimal 2 years experience working with MS Word, Excel, PowerPointLocation: Position will be based at Wright Patterson AFB.Travel: Occasional travel – up to 25% travel to client sitePreferred Skills:
Previous consulting and/or military leadership experience

Prior governmental financial management, systems or logistics experience

History of supporting business process improvement analysis and subsequent change management

Government Financial Certifications (CGFM, CDFM, CISA)

Prior experience with large-scale organizations
