APPLICATIONS SPECIALIST / PROJECT COORDINATOR

This position provides project management, business analysis, coordination, support and training of clinic-related information systems and Microsoft office applications with focus on process improvements, productivity, automation and data collections and analysis to enhance the utilization and effectiveness of the systems in meeting the business objectives.

This position is customer-focused, requiring excellent interaction and communication skills (telephone, email and in-person and presentation) to effectively communicate complex technical and business information to non-technical audience.

Information Systems include practice management system, electronic medical records, laboratory information system, interfaces, intranet, data warehouse, community education and outreach databases.

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to apply great customer service, training, problem solving and analytical skills to manage competing priorities and work with minimal supervision. Ability to “influence without authority” is critical as well as quality orientation to complete the projects and tasks right the first time. Understanding and knowledge (as a super user) of technology, office productivity and automation tolls and information systems in healthcare is important.
REQUIREMENTS
1.Bachelor’s degree required
2.1+ years experience in healthcare working in clinical or clinic setting.
3.1+ years experience as project coordinator/manager or business analyst in significant implementation of business systems or business process re-engineering project.
4.Experience conducting end user training in both classroom and 1 on 1 settings, including creation of training materials
5.Strong communication, analysis and problem solving skills
6.Past experiences in healthcare as Project Manager, Project Coordinator, Application Trainer, Application Support Specialist, Implementation Specialist, Data Analyst or Business Analyst
