ACCOUNTING/CONSULTING OPPORTUNITY (#6106)
Cotton & Company LLP is a recognized leader in public accounting for 25 years. Headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, we specialize in providing government auditing, accounting, consulting and IT services for some of the largest and most prestigious federal clients in the world.
We're currently looking for a seasoned Accountant/Consultant with Federal CFO Act experience to fill a new position located on-site at a prestigious federal agency whose business operations are in Northern Virginia. The engagement involves providing a wide range of CFO Act-related consulting services to the Securities and Exchange Commission. Responsibilities include - manage and supervise a project team of up to ten consultants, provide onsite quality control, monitor engagement budget, act as liaison between project seniors and project partner/principal. Able to meet deadlines and excel in the context of ambitious client requests.
REQUIREMENTS
.
Minimum Required Experience:
Accounting Degree or Bachelor's with 24 hours of AccountingProficiency in MS Office, specifically Word and Excel7+ years experience accounting, audit or audit-related experienceDetail oriented and recent hands-on experience with Federal government accounting or financial and management advisory servicesExcellent communication and writing skillsAbility to work in a team environmentProficient knowledge of GAAP
Preferred Required Experience:CPA,CIA,CFE,CGFM or other related certificate is a plus
This position requires US Citizenship or Perm Residence and the ability to obtain a security clearance.
