Vice President of Development

Horizon Bay Senior Communities is a well respected senior housing management company that was formed in July 2001. Headquartered in Tampa, Florida, we manage 48 retirement communities in thirteen states.... and we are growing.

We are currently seeking a Vice President of Development to coordinate the expansion of existing communities (responsible for knowing real estate rights, zoning, hiring builders, etc.) as well as the due diligence for acquisitions (the visionary piece of being able to tell what's wrong or right with a prospective property and how it fits in with our portfolio). Based out of our corporate office, heavy travel will be involved. This position will afford you a great deal of interaction with the executive team including the CFO, COO and CEO increasing the opportunity for additional responsibility and growth.

We operate several types of communities including continuum of care retirement, freestanding assisted living and independent living communities. We offer residents Signature Programs, like the nationally recognized Horizon Bay’s LiveWell! activities program and Horizon Bay’s Harbor Courts, memory impaired care. We enable our residents to maintain their independence, health and well-being in a safe and comfortable environment.

REQUIREMENTS
Ideally we would like to see individuals with real estate development experience in the senior housing industry with a bachelors degree in a related field such as construction management(MBA's are a plus).
