Traveling Soil Technician

Purpose: Aerotek is looking for dedicated applicants interested in pursuing a long term career with their drilling/subsurface exploration division. Experience within the industry is preferred but not a necessity. We are looking for a reliable laborer that wants to learn a skilled trade within the Geotechnical Engineering industry. This person will be assisting the Driller and must be willing to travel. The driller will lead everything and help train this person to learn the industry. The candidate will help layout test borings, collect soil samples (label + classify them), and will be responsible for general labor tasks associated with drilling (lifting heavy objects, lifting pipes etc.)

The proper candidate must have a great driving record!

TRAVEL: These candidates must be willing to travel. The travel varies, but they travel to areas such as: NY City, Va Beach, WV etc. The travel can very from 2-3 days a week, to a week depending on the project.
They will be traveling in the Drill rig with the head Driller and Hotel + Perdiem will be provided (They will be expected to stay in a hotel room with the Driller).
These candidates must have reliable transportation + a good work history.
