DoubleClick develops the tools that advertisers, direct marketers and web publishers use to plan, execute and analyze marketing programs.

The Technical Program Manager is a hybrid role between a Project Manager and a Technical Consultant. This client-facing role is responsible for providing custom solutions to our clients who are using our products; DFP, DFA, MediaVisor. These solutions include web applications,
integration work, implementations and migrations, custom reports and development as well as auditing and consulting. This position can be based in SF or NYC.

The TPM should possess experience in online advertising, tech skills such as HTML, and database knowledge.

The TPM adds value through the services they provide. These services increase customer satisfaction and retention. The TPM is responsible for all revenue generating, custom work.

Technical Project Manager, Ad Serving Consulting Practice

As a Technical Project Manager, you are responsible for the timely delivery and implementation of cost-effective, quality products to our customers (internal and external). You will be providing overall project management / leadership to multidisciplinary teams to deliver within a
committed budget and schedule.

You will be working with customers, business and technology teams in different geographical locations to ensure agreement of business requirements and system design, preparation and management of project
plans, and successful testing and implementation. Success will depend on your effective collaborative management skill and ability to get the best from all the groups, even when working remotely and under pressure.

Primary Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end by overseeing the project through the complete lifecycle including initiation, planning, execution,
implementation/rollout, and close. Lead all aspects of project delivery including, but not limited to, project scope, deliverables, estimates, quality, detailed project plans and change requests.
Develop tasks and responsibility schedules, including resource requirements. Identify the necessary people and technical resources to meet project commitments, and gain approval from the functional managers.
Manage multiple projects which may include matrix management and management of contractor / insourcing / outsourcing. Effectively manage related dependencies, accurate sequencing and resource utilization.
Monitor team activities and track progress against plan to
ensure committed deliverables are met. Identify delays, budget or quality concerns so they can be proactively addressed.
Work with project team members, internal customers and external customers to identify and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
Proactively manage and resolve project issues/risks. Maintain issue log and delivery to the project plan. Escalate issues which cannot be resolved by the team.
Maintain and uphold strict change management principles,
disciplines, proactive measures and procedures, as required, to ensure the expected quality is delivered or exceeded.
Identify and negotiate changes in project scope that serve to limit scope creep and ensure that projects complete on budget and on time. Discuss the impact of new requirements on timing, cost, resourcing, and re-negotiate timelines and budget, as appropriate.
Ensure project team and external customers are provided with appropriate, timely and accurate project information and status updates.
Apply technology/product knowledge to address customers' needs.
Provide direction and guidance to project team members.
Manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Serve as a focal point for all aspects of multiple projects, simultaneously.
Manage priorities and issues where conflicts arise.
Facilitate interaction amongst groups .
Conduct post-implementation reviews and implement lessons learned as necessary.

Skills

Proficiency in, at least, one DoubleClick Ad Serving Product
(DFA, DFP, DART Enterprise).
Working Knowledge of RDBMS, SQL, HTTP Protocols, HTML,
JavaScript.
Excellent analytical skills for identifying problems and
problem-solving skills
Confident and assertive communicator, able to persuade others to a course of action
Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness
Demonstrated ability to be flexible/adaptable in exercising
judgment in a dynamic, matrix environment and to manage competing priorities
Highly motivated individual with a proven ability to drive
projects to a successful and timely conclusion
Ability to effectively deal with individuals at all levels of
the organization as well as with vendors, outsourcers and consultants
Sound and timely decision making ability
Ability to work proactively and independently
Ability to multi-task and work to tight timelines.
Negotiation and issue resolution with internal and external
stakeholders.
Have a good understanding of project and personal deliverables and deliver within timeframes
Well developed presentation skills and excellent verbal and
written communication skills
