Store Planning/Construction


Overview:Manage all aspects of planning and production of assigned Macy's Sales Getting capital projects. Develop plan adjacencies, design physical alterations and provide fixture layouts that balance cost and ROI. Coordinate Stores priorities with drawing production and construction schedules. Coordinate SPACE major capital, new stores and Macy's corporate programsfor division. Manage Vendorshops and fixture programs for consistent merchandise presentation.


Key Accountabilities:
Develop scope of matrix projects with Merchant group, provide high quality design solutions within budget and ROI limits, prepare and present proposals for approval (Focus on projects under $1M).
Coordinate SPACE remodels and new stores and Macy's Corporate programs with division.
Manage production of in-house and contract documents to meet auction and construction schedules.
Maintain integrity of project date in Filemaker and CAD records.
Influence and advise Visual on project decisions.
Final authority on integrity of assigned project matrix scope and budgets.
Final authority on design, fixturing and merchandising of approved plans.
Participate and influence decisions on assigned project priorities, budgets and adjacencies.


Skills Summary:
Must have 5+ years experience in Store Planning in comparable department store or high-end specialty store.
Ability to coordinate multiple internal and third party functions.
Production level experience with current AutoCad release and Microsoft Office.
Self-motivated problem solver with strong independent decision making ability.
Highly developed organizational and communication skills with presentation experience to management.
