Steel Fabricator / Assembler

iforce is seeking a fabricator/assembler. Will work under the supervision of the shop manager to shear, cut, punch, drill, punch, grind, clean and assemble component steel parts made from steel tube, angle iron, strip and rod, for the production of a variety of steel art equipment used by college art departments and individual artists for painting, drawing and pottery making. Fabricators/Assemblers will operate some or all of the following machinery: drill presses, hand drills, horizontal band saws, cold saw, punch press (iron worker), air brake worker), air brake, threading machine, hand grinders, belt sander, tube bender, and wire brush. Fabricator/assembler will help assemble and pack accurately in order to verify cut part sizes. This job requires that candidate have the physical capacity to lift 50 pounds and to move and handle lengths of steel (angle iron, strip, rod,tube) of up to 24'.Experience with any of the above equipment is preferred but not necessary as we will train a candidate who can think on his feet and is good with his hands.Mig welding experience, though not required, would be a big plus.
