Staff Accountant

We are currently seeking an experienced staff accountant to be an integral part of the corporate accounting team, responsible for reconciliation of various Corporate Asset and Liability accounts, research of discrepancies, booking of journal entries, assist with month end close process, and other accounting related duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
Compile and analyze financial information for preparation of monthly journal entries to P&L and Balance Sheet accounts.
Reconciliation of Sub Ledger to General Ledger for accounts (mainly Balance Sheet) for Corporate Asset and Liability accounts.
Review and analyze corporate profit and loss accounts for significant variances and report to senior management as part of close process.
Communication with Department heads to insure proper recording of expenses to cost centers.
Assist Accounting Manager with period end closes by researching accounts and insuring accuracy of financial reports.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate must possess at minimum a 4 year degree in accounting as well as 2+ years experience in the field. This is a VERY hands on position! Candidates who wish to be considered are encouraged to submit a resume in word or plain text format.
