Geotechnical Field Technician Job Description:
A Geotechnical firm located in Frederick,MD is in need of entry level field technicians to inspect, evaluate, and test soils and concrete on numerous sites throughout the area.
You will work as a quality assurance inspector on construction sites, representing either the owner of a project or a contractor working on a project. Their job will be to ensure that the materials and soil on the job site meet the standards required by the engineering plans. Typically, this is performed by using a nuclear density gauge to test density of construction materials (soil and concrete). You will be trained on how to conduct these tests and how to use the equipment.
This is a great opportunity to get on the ground floor and really learn the construction and engineering field.
