Senior Designer - Retail Stores

We have an immediate career opportunity for a Senior Designer at our corporate headquarters in Bensalem, PA. Reporting to the Director of Store Design, the Senior Designer serves as a back-up to the Director; interfacing with Senior Management of our Lane Bryant, Fashion Bug and Catherines Brands regarding store design.

Responsibilities:

-Leads the skilled layout and cad drafting activities in retail design environment for our three Brands.
-Provide drawings and specifications for new store construction and remodeling projects, as well as shop drawings for acrylic, hardware and fixtures, both metal and wood.
-Responsible for interior and exterior design, space planning, detailing and construction documents on autocad for all brands.
-Develops cost effective designs for architectural plans or fixturing which meet brands design standards and specifications
-Submits preliminary drawings and plans to director for appropriate approvals and incorporate approved changes into final plans and drawings.
-Contacts and responds to questions from landlords, vendors, contractors, construction and other personnel to secure or provide information.
-Keeps director informed of drawing preparation progress.
-Participates in special design projects as directed.
-Prepares material sample boards.
-Prepare and send bid documents to selected contractors and vendors as directed.
-Review hardware and fixture drawings upon their return from vendors to meet specifications as directed.
-Some travel requiredJob Requirements
• 10 Years Retail Store and Fixture Design Experience
• Proficient in Autocad 2000
• Computer rendering ability
• Prior experience in working with multiple brands and multiple store
design
• Merchandising experience
• Retail background with a strong understanding of the industry
• Strong communication and presentation skills
