Senior Civil Engineer

Purpose: Large, nationally recognized engineering company that specializes in the transportation and infrastructure industries actively seeks a Senior Civil Engineer for their downtown Oakland office.

The senior candidate will need to possess their PE and have 8 to 12 years of experience and exposure to a wide variety of engineering projects in the transportation realm. Candidates with experience in rail design are highly desired.

Responsibilities will include development of all phases of design from inception to completion of smaller projects, phases and tasks within larger projects, the supervision, coordination and review of work of junior staff engineers and technicians as well as interaction and communication with clients, sub consultants, vendors and personnel within the organization. Candidates will need excellent written and oral communication skills, a strong work ethic and the ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
