Senior Architectural Retail Designer

Our Kansas City office is currently seeking a high energy architectural designer with 8+ years of experience to help push the design envelope of our practice.
REQUIREMENTS
The preferred candidate exudes leadership, inspires team mates, and has fantastic graphic and communication skills. The role of the Retail Designer is to develop project design requirements and solutions while serving as a firm-wide resource. This position will participate in research, strategic planning, business development and marketing.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Supervising overall project design, setting priorities and establishing work schedules

• Coordinating with PMs and informing Principal-in-Charge of project design status

• Maintaining billability and contributing to profitability on projects

• Leading and/or assisting with marketing efforts as coordinated with Principals

• Recognizing the impact of design on project costs for the firm and to the client

• Working with all areas of the firm to promote design excellence

• Representing the firm as a thought leader at national conferences and events

The ideal service-oriented professional will possess an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to develop innovative design solutions and design experience in mixed-use and retail markets. Architectural license required.
