REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related field OR the equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience demonstrating skill performing site safety inspections of facilities and operations and conducting hazard evaluations for unsafe conditions and/or work practices.
Experience demonstrating skill investigating work place injuries/accidents to include conducting root cause analysis and providing corrective recommendations.
Experience demonstrating skill building relationships with line managers, employees, safety professionals and/or medical providers.
Experience demonstrating skill measuring the effectiveness of Safety Performance Benchmarking processes and ensuring the continuity of safety rules and practices.
Experience demonstrating skill researching, interpreting, communicating, evaluating compliance with and/or making recommendations to current OSHA regulations and guidelines, as well as other federal, state, and local laws and standards (e.g. NFPA, ANSI, NEC, ASTM, VPP, ISO, etc.).
Experience demonstrating skill providing coaching and feedback sessions with employees and line management related to safety issues.
Experience demonstrating skill initiating, reviewing and/or authoring written safety policies or procedures and/or maintaining documentation in support of the company?s Safety Management System.
Experience demonstrating skill using PC-based word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, e-mail, and Internet software.
Ability and willingness to distinguish among different color coded material.
Ability and willingness to work extended hours and during emergencies as required.
Ability and willingness to travel to various locations and work sites.
Ability and willingness to perform physically challenging tasks for extended periods of time (for example, climbing ladders and stairs, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, pulling/pushing, standing, walking, squatting and lifting up to 50 pounds).
Ability and willingness to work in or around a variety of work environments, including indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, at high elevations, using an aerial lift, working in enclosed/confined spaces, in dirty environments, and in dark areas or areas with limited lighting.
Ability and willingness to wear and use safety equipment, including a respirator, fall protection, hearing protection, FR clothing, safety shoes, safety glasses, as required by federal, state, local and company regulations.
Must be certified as a safety professional (for example, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist or equivalent).
Must successfully pass a Criminal History Background Check.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
