SR. PROJECT ENGINEER - CHEMICALS

CHEMICAL, PETROCHEMICAL, REFINERY & PHARMACEUTICAL RECRUITERS

Position plans and directs the facility's production activities to assure products are manufactured according to sales and operations plan and within prescribed quality standards and cost objectives. The position formulates and recommends manufacturing processes/ projects which guide the supply chain in maintaining and improving its competitive position. This competitive position will focus on optimum labor utilization, reduced working capital and/or overhead; minimum effective inventory levels all in strict compliance with budgetary constraints. Reports directly to the Operations Director and has seven direct reports to include Production Supervisors, CPI Specialist, Process Engineer and QC Supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
A degree in Chemical Engineering and 7 plus years management experience within an industrial environment with strong knowledge in PROCESS manufacturing and methods to include product flow, production planning and layout. Training and experience in six sigma methodology and continuous process improvement. Above average knowledge of computer software systems to include word-processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software applications used to develop reports, forms and general correspondence, as required. Position continually requires ability to handle sensitive, confidential situations, or to communicate with a variety of internal and external customers.
