SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER - CM-A

Currently, we are seeking to add an experienced Senior Project Manager whose primary function is to work as part of an on-site team providing overall program and construction management for the $450 million Rush University Medical Center campus expansion project. REQUIREMENTS
Position Requirements are:

1.Bachelors Degree in construction related field or equivalent.

2.Minimum of ten years experience in CM-A, Program Management and/or Owner Representation on large healthcare facility programs.

3.To apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.

4.Thorough understanding of healthcare and construction industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities.

5.Superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills.

6.Ability to multi-task, prioritize and complete numerous projects in a timely manner.

7.Travel in and around Chicago and its suburbs.


This position will be responsible for:

1.Making decisions and recommendations which may greatly impact corporate relationships with clients and the profitability of projects managed.

2.This position is a direct supervisor of staff and requires proven experience and judgment.

3.Fully accountable for delivering the project to client within project schedule and budget.

4.Open communication with/between project team members to ensure client satisfaction and achievement of goals, including monthly review sessions with each project team.

5.Managing multiple clients and multiple projects.

6.Providing the proper staffing needs for the project as well as the tools needed by the project team to ensure the project’s success.

7.Participation in the overall management of the company, including corporate initiatives, contributing to executive meetings and profit projections.

8.Presentation to new clients and solicitation of new work, including creating opportunities to increase our understanding of current client needs (sporting events, lunch, etc.)

9.Conducting semiannual performance evaluations with project managers, superintendents, project engineers and site secretaries for their projects.

10.Providing mentoring and guidance to project team to help team’s development.
11.Additional assignments per Power’s or client’s direction.
