DESCRIPTION:
Shelter is seeking an experienced Roof Top Loader for the Merriam, KS local market.

This position offers competitive wages, health, dental, life, disability insurance and a 401k plan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
The loader’s primary duty is to deliver building materials to a customers place of business or to a job site. Loaders will load and unload trucks using forklift and other mechanical equipment. This position requires loaders to work on rooftops using safety equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Loading and unloading of building materials.
Assist with deliveries of roofing and siding material.
Work in the warehouse as needed.
Able to meet deadlines.

Excellent attendance record required.

Work in a safe and productive manner.

Able to work overtime as needed.
Saturday work sometimes required in busy season.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS and EDUCATION:

•Be a minimum 18 years of age.
•Prefer prior warehouse or related worker experience
•Possess a valid state issued driver’s license
•Must have prior experience operating a forklift. Current forklift certification a plus.
•Must be a U.S. citizen or be authorized to work in the U.S.
•Must be able to read, speak and write the English language to communicate with vendors, customers and other branch employees
•Pass a company required drug test.
•Must be able to lift at least 75 lbs without assistance.
•Must be able to work outdoors in all kinds of weather.
•Must be a self-starter, dependable and a team player.
•Prefer high school graduate or GED.
