Ready Mix Plant Manager

Lafarge is seeking an individual to coordinate and manage all aspects of production, delivery and operations for Genesee and Hopkins Street plants in Western New York. To ensure production efficiencies while maintaining company policies as it relates to safety, environment, customer service, quality, and employee goodwill. This will require punctual communication and coordination with the Operations Manager and the NY sales management team.

1. Supervises ready mix drivers and plant personnel in
daily operations, such as safety training, plant
maintenance, delivery operations, performance reviews;
investigates & completes reports on all accidents,
reprimands, team building.

2. Assists with customer coordination on product deliveries
any placement to insure optimal coordination of deliveries
and job site access.

3. Monitors and assists quality control in plant/field
operations and record keeping.

4. Works with dispatch, sales, credit department and
customers to resolve disputes, complaints & billing errors.

5. Completed general telephone calls customer service and
general concrete specifications.

6. Oversees effective maintenance and capital improvements
of plant and mobile equipment.

7. Performs miscellaneous activities & special projects.
REQUIREMENTS
Preferred Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience.
Ability to utilize computers for email and excel spreadsheets.
Minimum of 5 years industry experience preferred.
Solid knowledge of ready mix production, quality control, plant maintenance. Financial analysis skills, general knowledge of regulatory requirements; effective written and verbal communication skills, safety regulations, strong leadership skills and team management experience.
