Description of Responsibilities:

The Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM) will serve as the Technical Leader in the firm for implementing the Project Construction Quality Control Program for each project with a construction component.

The CQCM will work with the Project Manager and Contractor Quality Control System Manager (CQCSM) assigned for each project in the proposal phase to help determine and establish the CQC Program requirements for the construction portion of the project. The CQCM will also assist the Project Manager and CQCSM in developing the CQC Plan for the project by attending the Project Kick-off meeting to provide input and later by providing an independent technical review of the Plan before it is submitted to the client.

The CQCM will assist the CQCSM for each project by serving as a mentor on setting up their system in the field during mobilization of construction projects and assist in reviewing submittals not within the CQCSM’s expertise, assist in finding testing and inspection references and requirements. The CQCM will visit all active construction sites on a periodic basis to asses the performance of the CQCSM and of the CAC Plan established for each project. These evaluations are independent of the less frequent Quality Assurance Assessments performed by the QA Director. The CQCM shall develop the goals and objectives for each CQCSM in the company and conduct annual performance reviews with quarterly check-ins for each CQCSM in the company.
REQUIREMENTS
Work Experience Requirements:

10 Years in Engineering and Construction activities with at least 5 years experience in the field conducting Quality Control Program on vertical and heavy construction type projects, remediation experience is a plus.

Education and Training Requirements:

BS in Civil or Mechanical, Engineering or Construction Management.
US Army Corps of Engineers’ Construction Quality Management for Contractors course. 40 Hours Hazwoper training and current refreshers.

Other Requirements:

Physical ability to travel up to 60% and perform or oversee site activities. Ability to use safety equipment. Candidates must successfully pass standard CAPE pre-employment physical, drug and background screens.
