ESTIMATOR

The estimator position involves the bidding on public and private site improvement projects. Responsibilities will include reviewing the blueprints for material quantities. Calculating takeoff volumes of dirt, concrete, pipe, stone, asphalt and then entering this information into the estimating software. Obtaining prices subcontract and material prices from vendors. Submitting the final bid to the department manager for review.

This is a great opportunity for a candidate with an engineering or construction management degree that is looking to jump start their career in heavy construction OR someone with field experience that is looking to transition into the office. A proficiency with MS Excel and Word is essential. Experience with Agtek and HCSS will get our immediate attention.
