Project Manager, Structural Concrete /Civil Engineering/Building
T.B. Penick & Sons, one of the oldest family-owned and operated construction businesses in Southern California, has an immediate opening for a Project Manager in their San Diego office. In this role you will be responsible of taking a construction project from the time it is estimated and acquired, though construction and close-out, to final billing. Projects include both negotiated and public works projects in a diverse market including education, multi-story and subterranean parking structures, healthcare (OSHPD) and MACC.
You will be responsible for the providing all documation and information to transition the project from the pre-construction phase and construction phase and provide continious management support through the completion of the project. In addition you will be responsible for maintaing accounting functions with respect to job cost and cash flow of your projects.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong organizational skills, be a stickler for details, be able to maintain positive interoffice relationships, and provide a smooth transition of complete information to teams in the field and operational management.
REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering or related discipline, or equivalent combination of technical training and experience. A minimum 2 years prior construction experience is required. Knowledge of computerized estimating systems and cost data bases and word processing software is required.
Software skills: Strong Excel knowledge required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail oriented, logical, and methodical approach to problem solving.
Ability to plan and schedule the work of others.
Excellent organizational skills.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Some travel may be required.
Salary negotiable for the proper candidate.
