Project Manager - Land Development/Transportation

Summary DescriptionManage and design land development, industrial or transportation related projects.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesIncludes the following - Other duties may be assigned:•Develops the project scope and WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) of a potential project.
•Prepares the project proposal estimating engineering costs, determining engineering disciplines needed and forecasting total resources required for the project
•Responsible for client meetings/vistits. Prepares and monitors project budget. Has overall responsibility for the profitability of his/her project.
•Monitors project throughout all phases ensuring project schedules and budget compliance. Prepares, reviews, analyzes status reports making adjustments with resources, costs, plans, schedules etc. as required.
•Attends client meetings, communicating concerns and changes with the client in order to ensure a positive relationship.
•Controls work-in-process, ensures accurate client billings, and monitors outstanding accounts receivable and collection efforts on his/her projects.
•Interprets and complies with all governmental requirements, ordinances and permitting.
•Performs and monitors the design functions for subdivision and land development projects or masonry, concrete and steel projects, or highway, drainage, stormwater management, E&S or other related projects.
•Writes project specifications (non-technical and technical sections)
•Prepares technical reports and studies.Competencies
Language: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, or the general public.Mathematical Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, trigonometry.
Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability: Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience
