Project Manager - Commercial Construction

What would you be doing?Working in our Long Beach location, you would ensure that commercial construction projects are completed on time and on budget. Responsibilities would include:Overseeing daily on-site operations of commercial TI construction projectsManaging and scheduling sub-contractors and suppliers and coordinating clients, architects and inspectors from pre-construction through project closeConducting walk-throughs and obtaining bid summary sign-offVerifying invoice accuracy and work completionAssisting with the hiring of construction assistantsPutting together construction binders and participating in meetings with tenants, managers and construction workersWhat’s so great about this job, anyway?This is a ground floor opportunity to grow a staff for the Long Beach area. REQUIREMENTS
What kind of candidate are we looking for?Superintendent and/or project manager experience in the area of general construction is required. The ability to read and interpret blueprints and contracts is essential, as is a background in the following: office space planning and design, scheduling and estimating. Management experience is ideal, especially with regards to the supervision of sub-contractors (a current network of relationships with sub-contractors in the Long Beach area is ideal). A working knowledge of commercial construction, regulations, HVAC and electrical systems is preferred.
