Project Engineer - Construction

Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, EnergyFunction: Engineering/ Product DevelopmentResponsibilities: Drive the process of establishing a modularization strategy for the ESBWR and support development of a construction execution plan.
Lead Construction Task teams comprised of GE EPC program participants.
Participate in integrating an international design and construction team to optimize collaboration.
On time delivery of all project deliverables.
Manage program and supplier budgets to annual Department of Energy authorizations.
Support business goal for ESBWR licensing and COL submittal schedules.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: BS degree in Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Nuclear or Electrical preferred).
Prior construction field management responsibility for large power EPC projects.
Experience working with global teams/partners, in a highly matrixed environment.
Ability to travel up to 35% as neededDesired: Minimum 10 years large complex power project construction leadership experience.
Interest in staying in role/function/business long enough to see impact and develop depth.
Demonstrated ability to anticipate and solve complex problems beyond the scope of the role.
Familiarity with nuclear construction practices and BWR design.
Familiarity with EPC contract language.
Graduate of GE technical or leadership program, particularly Project Management Leadership Program.
Construction Industry Institute (CII) Participation
Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to influence stakeholders and build trust with customers, managers and team members.
Well-developed planning and organization skills.
Ability to sift through complex information and focus on the critical few priorities.
Ability to make decisions with speed and accuracy, based on best available information.
