Project Engineer (Civil / Structural / Mechanical)

Sheedy Drayage Co. is a San Francisco based crane and rigging contractor providing specialized heavy lift and heavy haul services since 1925. Sheedy engineers are involved in all phases of rigging and heavy haul projects from estimation and design to supervision of construction operations in the field. Sheedy engineering provides lifting and transportation solutions for commercial and industrial construction (including high rise roof mounted crane applications), hydroelectric, nuclear and conventional power plants for the San Francisco Bay area and beyond. Our broad customer base includes equipment manufactures, plant owners, general contractors, building owners, government agencies, and utility companies.

Primary Responsibilities:
·Develop operational solutions for heavy lift / heavy haul projects using Sheedy’s existing fleet of equipment and design custom lifting and transport hardware.
·Create engineering plans, fabrication drawings, installation methods and provide field supervision for projects.

REQUIREMENTS
Required Experience:
·Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
·A minimum of five years engineering experience with some construction background is preferred.
·Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
·Professional Engineering license is a plus.
