Opportunity awaits at Lennar for a Project Controls Manager - Scheduling Manager!
Lennar, one of America’s leading homebuilders, is currently seeking a Project Controls Manager - Scheduling Manager to work under the direction of the Purchasing Department to provide overall project controls and schedule management for the Land Division.
The Project Controls Manager has responsibility for:
Updating and maintaining cost loaded schedules based on designer/contractor provided schedules and case loading
Developing independent CPM schedules
Coordinating scheduling with the project management team Working with the designer, construction contractors, home builders, and government agencies to maintain the program for Lennar Communities Land Division on schedule and within budget
Ensuring the integration of the schedules with the Community Development Timeline and PROLOG document control software, and GRAPHISOFT 5D software
Providing the Division President/PM's with schedule information so as to better track our delivery of land products to the home buildersAs a Project Controls Manager - Scheduling Manager at Lennar, you will be an integral part of our team and expected to:
Update and refine schedule template with input from the Division President and the Project Managers
Work with accounting manager using the strategic plan to incorporate long range goals for driving the home site and home building process
Provide scheduling support to the project managers of the Lennar Communities Land Division in Sarasota
Develop a program master schedule which incorporates all projects from land acquisition through home closing, and transfer that data to the community timeline developed for corporate reporting
Develop cost and resource loaded CPM schedules using Primavera Project Planner/Microsoft Project
Integrate schedule with PROLOG nmanager on all projects in 6 counties
Export data from schedule for use in exception reporting, progress reporting and provide analysis of critical path activities for the project team
Update schedules on a regular basis and provide analysis for project manager and the team to determine where recovery efforts are required
Prepare schedules for corporate meetings to explain our program.
Develop pre-construction schedules
Support multiple project teams in the review and acceptance and updating of project schedules
Analyze and monitor construction schedules provided by contractors based on contract scheduling specifications
Visit project sites in coordination with the project manager to gain knowledge of work beginning preformed and how that impacts the schedule
Participate in weekly progress meeting to update schedule and to provide look ahead information to the PM/CM to ensure project is on track
Develop cost and resource loaded CPM schedules for multiple projects
Assist with the schedule review of Contractor Claims
Assist with the schedule review of Contractor Proposals for extra work
Produce Monthly reports by creating and updating scheduling programs. Reports include:
Pay estimates (summary and detail)
30-60 day look-ahead for PM/CMs
Updated six-week "look-ahead" report and graphics
Current status report (initial construction and procurement exception reports)
All schedules
Summary reports
Update and review procurement items on a regular basis, and evaluate the impact on the schedule
Prepare independent cost estimates for incorporation into budget using cost loaded CPM from construction
Tie schedule into the Prolog database for the PM
Incorporate the PM task list in master schedule for each project
Reduct or eliminate redundant schedule reporting

REQUIREMENTS
Prerequisites
At least 5 years experience as a scheduler on large complex programs.
A 4 year degree in engineering or construction management preferred.
Demonstrated experience with Primavera P3, P3ec, Microsoft Project, Prolog data management and Primavera expeditionRelationship to Others:
Reports to the Division President and Purchasing Director in support of project managers. Works with other project participants in the team environment.
