Principal Estimator (Power experienced)
Provide high-quality Lump Sum and Cost Reimbursable Proposal estimates in a timely and professional manner, in which the information is reconcilable to source data.
A general estimator experienced in conceptual, capacity factored, equipment factored, as well as detailed estimates.
Exhibit effective EPC industry knowledge, especially for gas-fired power plants - simple and combined cycle.
Knowledgeable about estimating Contingency and Event Driven Contingency. This includes identifying and quantifying costs to mitigate Project risks.
Experience with developing Estimate Plans (methodology and schedule for developing and reviewing estimates) and Estimate Basis.
Demonstrate familiarity with estimating terminology, theory, and use advanced estimating techniques and concepts.
Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications. Able to work with discipline engineers to define scope and quantities.
Experience with developing/formatting estimates in line with a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in order to transfer an estimate to a Cost Control database (FDCost).
Support Project Controls in the areas of budget extractions, change order estimating, and progress base generation.
Participate in analysis of specialty account estimates for material and labor. Prepare specialty account Material Take-Offs.
Assist with development of an Estimate Review Package. Make presentation of the estimate to Fluor management and client management.
Provide the appropriate, positive environment that encourages the growth of other departmental personnel in pursuing their career path.
Champion the office estimating database and information such as escalation indices, rate of exchange variation, productivity, labor position, etc.
Participate in functional strategic planning.
Interact with functional leadership, project personnel, engineers, and estimating team members.
Serve as an intra-corporate expert on estimating methods and systems.
Self-starter - can work alone or leading a small group
Computer skills to include expertise in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and @RISK. Experience with MS Access a plus.~cbEmployment Type: Full-time

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in engineering, technology or construction management (or equivalent work experience). Minimum 15 years project estimating experience of which at least 5 years were on recent power generation projects. Some field experience preferred. Gas-fired EPCC experience preferred.Dimensions:
