Plastics Extrusion Production Manager

Candidate will manage all aspects of a 24/7 plastics extrusion plant in support of business objectives by ensuring compliance with all standards, policies and production of quality products. Will oversee a non-union plant with approx. 90 employees.
Responsibilities include:
1. Manages and develops all manufacturing personnel, lead by example.
2. Manages and maintains all production equipment.
3. Work with Vice President to define resource needs of the plant such as personnel and capital projects.
4. Ensures compliance with all safety/environmental rules and regulations.
5. Represents firm within the local community.
6. Develops budgets and manages within budgeted guidelines.
7. Manages capital projects and cost reduction programs.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Knowledge of plastics extrusion. PVC experience would be a plus.
2. Very strong leadership skills, ability to lead teams and meetings.
3. Excellent verbal communication skills.
4. Strong technical knowledge. Mechanical abilities should be strong.
5. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate people toward a common goal.
6. Ability to manage a budget and read/analyze financial reports.
7. Ability to accept and support change.
8. Proven results in reducing costs and improving efficiencies.
9. Strong conflict resolution skills.

10. Ability to interface with customers, staff and other functional areas.
12. AS degree in Plastics Technology/Engineering or equivalent in experience.
