PROJECT MANAGER - CM-A

Currently, we are seeking to add an experienced Project Manager whose primary function is to work as part of an on-site team providing overall program and construction management for the $450 million Rush University Medical Center campus expansion project. REQUIREMENTS
Position Requirements are:

1. Bachelors Degree in construction related field or equivalent

2. Minimum of five (5) years experience in CM-A, Program Management and/or Owner Representation on large healthcare facility programs.

3. To apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.

4. Thorough understanding of healthcare and construction industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities

5. Superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, et.) skills.

6. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and complete numerous projects in a timely manner.

7. Travel in and around Chicago and its suburbs.



This position will be responsible for:

1. Developing and strengthening client relations.

2. Accurate project estimates.

3. Overall project bidding activities.

4. Development of initial schedule for estimating and bidding.

5. Negotiate, award, write and enforce contracts.

6. Ensuring bond and insurance requirement compliance.

7. Maintaining contractor relations and assisting with any conflict(s).

8. Coordination of various office departments’ support as projects require.

9. Coordination of close-out activities on a timely basis.

10. Additional assignments per Power’s or client’s direction.
