PLUMBING INSPECTORS
Plumbing Inspectors
The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC), among the ten largest water/wastewater utilities in the nation has openings for Plumbing Inspectors at our Gaithersburg, Silver Spring and Temple Hills, Md. offices.
The individual will work independently to inspect plumbing, gasfitting, on-site water and sewer systems, and related installations to verify compliance with governing codes, specifications, and policies.
The positions require three years of experience as a Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter and successful completion of the WSSC Master examination as required for these trades within six months of employment; or current licensure as a Master Plumber/Gasfitter; including work on a variety of construction and installation jobs and high school diploma or GED. Also requires valid Maryland Driver's license or equivalent valid license from resident state. Applicants may have no more than four points against current license.
