As a result of the July 2000 reaffiliation with Scripps Clinic, Scripps now has approximately 10,000 employees and also cares for patients at 12 Scripps Clinic locations throughout San Diego County.Division: Administrative ServicesDepartment: FACILITIES DEVELOPMENTJob Type: Full-TimeShift Type: DaysShift Hours: 8 Hr ShiftPosition Profile: The Corporate Construction Manager has the responsibility, authority and accountability for the definition, planning and execution of routine projects (less than $100M per project). This position documents project scope, develops project budget, defines project schedule, negotiates with the site Directors for resources, provides direction and coordination between sites, reports progress and issues to the Director and the Project's Executive Sponsor and communicates to other project stakeholders. This position also develops, oversees and maintains project management functions associated with the preparation, implementation and execution of projects across the system, including requests for qualifications, requests for proposals, selection of architects, consultants, and general contractors. This position has direct authority over project management staff assigned to sites except when an Executive Project Manager is located at a particular site. Corporate Construction Manager will develop systems and processes necessary for the tracking, planning and execution of projects, analyze trends, develop and maintain a program for organizational learning and sharing of experiences, internally and externally. Ensure completion of deliverables and adherence to timelines; track milestones and timelines across projects and institute necessary work flow, personnel and financial resource allocations, making alterations when necessary to meet expectations of clients; analyze and resolve issues that have the potential to jeopardize performance and/or ability to meet agreed upon deliverables; analyze financial and operational reports. They will also manage all cross-functional aspects of the project to create the defined deliverables within the authorized budget on the approved time schedule and will support strategic planning initiatives.SCRIPPS VALUESWe provide the highest quality of service.Scripps is committed to putting the patient first and quality is our passion. REQUIREMENTS
Preferred Qualifications: 10 years relevant project management experience required, 5 years managing multiple complex projects ($10-$50 million project budget) required. Excellent negotiation skills, experience managing projects for customers and developing effective customer relationships desired, experience assembling and motivations teams that work together to meet requirements, creative problem solving skills, win-win mentality, able to work in a technical environment having strong Best Practices for task execution in place, relevant experience in delivering technology based solutions desired and expert use of Project Management tools including Microsoft Project, Excel and Time Tracking systems.Work requires a Bachelor of Science/Arts degree or equivalent work experience in a related field (Engineering/Architecture)
