MEP COORDINATOR

Tech support includes pricing and estimating project specifications with involvement in the entire pre-construction and construction process. REQUIREMENTS
Position Requirements are:1. Four (4) year Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent experience in HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical Building systems.2. Minimum of five (5) years experience, preferably in a commercial construction or hospital setting.3. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, construction documentation.4. Ability to read blue prints, specifications, etc.
This position will be responsible for:1. Ability to assume responsibility and interface well with the Project Team and Owners/Clients.2. Assist Directing Development of MEP shop drawings.3. Provide detail estimating of MEP trades and budgets.4. Trouble-shoot systems in operation.5. Punch list for Quality Control at various points during the projects for the MEP trades.6. Solicit and receive bids for MEP trades and determine completeness of bids; recommended sub.7. Attend meetings as may be required or requested at any phase of the job.8. When requested, lead commissioning or start-up efforts for MEP trades.9. Check/Review change orders.10. Work on job sites in assisting superintendent in the direction of MEP trades on the day to day basis.11. Possess strong communication skills.
