Licensed Plumbers

SUMMARY We are currently seeking Licensed Plumbers to work Monday through Friday to do general repair, replacement and maintenance of residential, commercial and industrial plumbing systems.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

customer service calls by inspecting problem area and accurately diagnosing a problem;
provides solution and estimate for service and closes the sale.

Installs and repairs plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, bathtubs, water heaters, hot water tanks,
garbage disposal units, dishwashers, and water softeners.

Repairs and maintains residential, commercial and industrial plumbing systems. In some areas, also repairs and replaces hydronic heating systems and gas piping systems.

Completes all work in a safe manner using proper tools and personal protective equipment. Ensures that all job sites are kept as safe as possible to prevent injury to self and others in the work area.

Cleans and restores work site to a minimum pre-job condition.

Communicates with dispatch via two-way radio, cell phone, or other acceptable alternative.

Locates and arrives at job site in a timely manner; safely drives and operates service vehicle between job
sites.

Offers, promotes and sells additional products, where needed.

If assigned, performs excavation installations and repairs by excavating ground to gain access to plumbing systems by the following methods: jackhammer, saw cutting and digging.
Identifies opportunities to “up-sell” products and services to customers.

Prepares invoice, totaling costs of services/products provided. Collects payment and offers guarantee. Obtains required information for customers paying with a personal check.
Documents and computes weekly receipts, invoices and expenses with the branch accounting personnel.

Turns in all cash, checks, credit card slips, invoices, and any other documents used or collected on the
job.

Maintains personal and vehicle appearance according to company policies and standards.Job Requirements
PRE-EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS: Pass pre-employment drug screen, acceptable background check results including criminal history and driving record. Own assorted hand tools.
Journeyman License or about to take the State of MA Test.WORK SCHEDULE:
Our Licensed Plumbers work Monday through Friday.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Three or more years of repair and service plumbing experience required. Proven track record in the sale of plumbing products and services required. Full knowledge of plumbing systems is essential for performing duties.LANGUAGE SKILLS: Individuals must have good oral and written communication skills for effective
customer service.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Individuals must possess basic mathematical skills and money management in order to properly handle payments collected from customers. Basic accounting skills are required.REASONING ABILITY: Individuals must possess problem-solving skills to successfully perform essential functions. Navigation, reading city maps and blueprints are necessary to perform duties.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Plumbers are expected to gain Excavation Certification through Competent Person Training (OSHA
requirement) within the first year of employment.Journeyman license or equivalent certification as specified by the state in which branch operates and
performs service.
Unlicensed plumbers will be expected to obtain certification as soon as they become
eligible.
Confined Space Training may be required.
Valid Driver’s License.
Acceptable Driving Record, according to company policy.
