Lead Painter - 1st Shift

long term disability, life & AD&D, EAP, flex spending account & 401K.The Lead Painter is responsible for all technical painting and directing painters in areas related to facilities painting. Support custom machine painting and interior and exterior painting of buildings and training of others required to support facility painting. Maintains inventory of paint and materials by properly requisitioning necessary items required for each project. Keeping inventory at a minimum. Consults with outside vendors regarding paint, materials and tools required. Make repairs to all spray equipment and pressure washers along with other tools required for this position. Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to clean and paint areas by using handheld and pneumatic tools. Able to use the spray equipment and machinery to paint and clean machines and make sure machinery is properly shut down in order to complete work needed.
REQUIREMENTS
Five to seven years experience in Custom auto painting and technical skills from hands on paint school with three to six years related experience in a manufacturing environment. Valid California’s driver’s license and qualifications for driving a forklift will be required.
