Lead Construction Superintendent

Purpose: One of the Nation's Top 15 Builders has an immediate opportunity for a Lead Superintendent for their Orange County office. Duties of this position will include:
- Assist Estimating in bidding opportunities and precon services
- Assist Project Manager in development of Chart of Accounts
- Assist in development of detailed CPM Schedule
- Assist in development of Detailed Scope of Work
- Develop a project site logistics plan
- Maintain thorough understanding of contract documents
- Review and understand material budgets and negotiate purchase orders
- Review and understand equipment budgets and negotiate rental rates
- Monitor project costs and identify areas for improvement
- Provide leadership in quality process
- Provide leadership in the safety and accident prevention programs
- Document daily construction activities
- Chair weekly subcontractor coordination meetings
- Issue and maintain short term schedules
- Assist Project Engineers in Shop Drawing and Submittal process
- Verify that As-Built Drawings are kept current

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5 - 10 years of relevant work experience as a "hands-on", Heavy Commercial Builder. Projects will typically range in the $10 - $100 Million. Typical projects will include Hospitals, Schools, Office Buildings and other Heavy Commercial projects. Candidates with out relevant project experience will not be considered for this position. Candidates should expect to work 40 - 50 hours per week. Pay will start at 100K per year and is negotiable based on experience.
