**This position is available anywhere there is a Savvis facility**

The SAVVIS IDC Construction Mgr is responsible for managing construction from initial site design through completed drawings state including structural, mechanical, electrical feasibility; zoning, survey work, certification, signoff and change orders. Coordinates bid packages, monitor progress, provides full financial management and manages for efficiencies.

Essential duties:
Determine financial responsibilityMaintain organization through project management and issue resolution.Responsible for cost managementEstablish quality assurance methods and standardsEvaluates new product, service and vendors.Interface with internal and external departments while working with municipal agencies for building permits, construction inspections and certificate of occupancyGuide future model development and be responsible for validating and interpreting the data and output.

Required skills:
Proficiency in MS Office including AccessCAD / design review, implementation and project managementHVAC, emergency generators, National Electrical Code Requirements, environmental requirements including hazardous material and other regulatory guidelines.Power experience including, AC/UPS, DC distribution system, troubleshootingTelecom experience including T1, DACS, OMPData Center ExperienceStrong client requirements understanding and expectation management skillsBusiness analysis skills with a technology backgroundKnowledge of distributed computing and storage systemsExcellent quantitative skillsStrong Interpersonal skills as this person will work closely with many levels of the organization and in cooperation with Sales team.Ability to work in a global team environmentMaintain performance level under high pressureLeadership skillFlexible and embracing changeAbility to communicate clearly and conciselyOvernight travel is requiredDrivers License is required

Education or Equivalent Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work in Data Center Engineering and planning5 years experience in Data Center Environment
