At Granite Construction we are currently seeking a Human Resources Manager to work in our Seattle WA facility.
Duties and responsibilities:
Assist with HR transitional needs through the acquisition/merger process as needed
HR Generalist to provide support for all areas of Human Resources.
Conduct and coordinate employee interviews and evaluations prior to acquisitions developing/recommending approaches and solutions.
Taking an active role in understanding business issues and developing/recommending approaches and solutions
Act as a liaison with Corporate in communicating benefits programs, and other corporate communications as necessary
Recruit, screen, evaluate, and hire qualified candidates as business needs dictate
Work directly with management and Corporate HR Partners to provide HR Support in developing and delivering HR programs. Work HR initiatives as needed related to a merger and acquisition of construction companies into Granite Construction. This position could be located in the Northwest in either Washington or Oregon providing as needed HR support to acquisitions in the Northwest. Someone with flexibility in living location would be ideal.

REQUIREMENTS
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Business, Human Resources, Psychology)
Preferred Experience:
Must possess a minimum of 10 to 15 years of HR Generalist experience within a dynamic, fast-paced environment with experience in at least two of the following functional areas: preferably in Staffing, Employee Relations, Employee Development, Performance Management, and Merger and Acquisitions. Construction/Union Experience is preferred.
Required Skills and Knowledge
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated decision-making skills. Must be able to respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines. Must be a team player.
