Homebuilders Loss Prevention Specialist

Our Largest and most Profitable Program is The HOMEBUILDERS Coverage Program which provides commercial insurance coverages to Residental General Contractors across the country. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Loss Prevention Construction Specialist for the Homebuilders Program. The major objective of this position is to evaluate the effectiveness of Job Site Safety Programs or assist in their development for Residential Homebuilders and the evaluation or development assistance of Risk Transfer Document Management Systems used by Homebuilder Clients.
RESPONSIBILITESMeet with client Principals & Job Site Supervisors to review their Safety Plan and its use.Assist in Development of an effective Safety Plan, where needed.Visit Jobsites to evaluate compliance with Safety Plans and OSHA Standards.Prepare Written Reports of Jobsite Inspections including deficiencies identified and corrective recommendations.Review Loss Prevention Recommendations needed with Principals & Supervisors resulting from Jobsite inspections.Conduct multiple Jobsite Visits on larger homebuilders and as follow-up on recommendations made.Review clients Risk Transfer Document Management Systems, providing improvement recommendations when needed.Prepare Written Reports on Risk Transfer Document Management Systems including deficiencies identified and corrective recommendations.Review & Evaluate client procedures for ensuring their Subcontractors are complying with Safety Plan standards.Review Insured’s Procedures for securing Homes under Construction at night & weekends.
REQUIREMENTS
Five (5) Years Residential Construction Experience RequiredExcellent Working Knowledge of OSHA Safety Standards for Residential ConstructionStrong Verbal & Written Communication SkillsSolid Presentation SkillsWillingness and Ability to travelInsurance Knowledge a PlusEngineering Degree a Plus
