Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Administrator

We currently have an exceptional career opportunity in our Brighton Michigan manufacturing facility for a Health, Safety, and Environmental Administrator.
This position is responsible for maintaining compliance, developing, implementing, monitoring and reporting of all safety, security, health, and environmental policies, procedures, processes, and permitting requirements for a chemical processing facility. This position provides technical assistance to ensure the HSE process is functional, dynamic, as well as in full compliance with Federal, State and local requirements for facility operation. This position has responsibility for process safety and in ensuring proper systems exist for employee participation in safety and training programs. Additional responsibility is the coordination and implementation of policies and procedures as relates to process safety.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science degree in Sciences such as Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, with additional emphasis on Safety and Environmental. Chemical knowledge necessary. In addition, minimum 3-5 years related work experience.
This position requires the management of hazardous chemicals including hazard communication, storage handling, product stewardship, process safety and employee health. Responsibilities also include compliance with OSHA Process Safety Management and EPA Risk Management Programs.This position holds primary responsibility for ensuring compliance with Federal and State OSHA, EPA, Federal Agencies, FDA, DEA, etc., related to requirements of a chemical manufacturing facility. HSE Administrator will assist with plant Emergency Response Programs.
