HVAC / Plumbing Superintendent

Commercial Mechanical HVAC and/or Plumbing Superintendent needed for Large Mechanical Contractor serving the southeastern region. Our construction superintendent works closely with craft and staff employees. The position includes supervising of one or more trade groups (electricians(in some areas), boiler makers, plumbers, carpenters, and etc.) working in particular construction discipline (civil, structural, electrical)

RESPONSIBILITIES

*Totally accountable for quality installation of the project
*Reviewing submittal for accuracy and compliancy
*Identifying potential change orders
*Customer relations
*Conduct weekly safety meetings
*Attend cost/job reviews
*Schedule manpower and also responsible for hiring workers
*Interpret plumbing and HVAC drawings for craft installation
*Plan , schedule, and coordinate on-site functions
*Perform material take-offs, ordering tools, materials, and equipment in a timely fashion to maximize field productivity
*Coordination of installation between trades and coordinate sub-contractor progress
*Ensure all on-site employees comply with OSHA standards & MCC work rules
*Schedule equipment deliveries with GC and periodic inspections by governing authorities
*Administer construction contract
*Monitor labor reporting, job cost reviews and prepare time sheets and two week look a heads
*Bring the job in 'on time and under budget'
REQUIREMENTS
*5-10 years verifiable experience as a HVAC and/or Plumbing Superintendent and state HVAC or plumbing license
*At least 5 years experience in heavy commercial construction (hotels, office buildings, hospitals,casinos, etc.)
*Proven leadership and supervisory skills
*Team Player
*Organizational and planning skills
*Must be detailed oriented
*At least 6 months of safety training
*Other state licenses a plus
