Conducts safety and/or environmental audits and inspects facilities within geographic area of responsibility to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with regulatory laws. Conducts orientations, visits work sites, and distributes literature to implement and promote safety and/or environmental policies and procedures. May analyze and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports and regulatory documents. May develop procedures based on regulatory and/or client requirements. May present information and respond to questions or concerns from employees, managers, clients and the general public. May respond to all inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies and/or community groups. May supervise lower level specialists. Handle special projects, as assigned.Posted: 6/18/2006

REQUIREMENTS
Thorough understanding of regulations and the regulatory process. Excellent analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good presentation skills. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.
