Government Proposal Manager

A growing, national general contractor specializing in Federal Government Contracting is looking to acquire a leader for their proposal / marketing / business developement activities for their office in Northern, VA.Under some direction, the position supports the selling efforts consistent with the company’s strategic plan and business goals.
-Leads in all phases of the proposal process from decision to pursue, through strategy development, production and performance analysis.-Supervises multiple proposal writers, editors and graphic artists (when required), helping develop outlines, graphic ideas and content.-Writes, or works with subject matter experts to write, technical text for proposals to make them clear, concise, and easily followed.-Management of proposal schedule and budget
-Development of presentations
REQUIREMENTS
Must have excellent skills in technical writing, grammar, “hard-editing,” and verbal communication; organizational and interpersonal relation skills; proficiency with computers and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in other publication software. Must be able to demonstrate an ability to work alone and manage a team.A general knowledge of construction and/or technical background a plus. Travel and/or extended assignments at other sites are possible. Salary commensurate with experience.
Desired experience includes: Proposal writing experience in a government specific environment. BS degree in English or related fields. Top Secret Clearance.
