Geotechnical Sampling / Drilling Helper
Local environmental company is seeking applicants for positions in soil and concrete testing for geotechnical inspections, and assistant for drilling. These positions are the perfect opportunity for any new graduate to begin their successful career in the environmental / geology field, or for individuals with moderate experience who desire to re-enter or expand their experiences and knowledge in this line of work. TESTING POSITION includes testing of site soils and concrete samples, daily logs of test results, as well as interaction with contractors, developers, and site engineers. DRILLER'S ASSISTANT POSITION, (drill helper)duties involve lifting up to 50 lbs. This is a labor intensive position. Lifting of sections of auger used for drilling. Assists with sampling equipment and record keeping with descriptions of the samples, and decontamination of sampling equipment. Some overnight travel is required. Lodging and per diem provided.
REQUIREMENTS
Ideal candidate would reside in the Indianapolis, Indiana area. Relocation expenses not covered.1. Current, valid driver's license, NOT SUSPENDED.
2. Must have own transportation.
3. Clean driving record.
4. High school diploma/GED,college.
5. Geotechnical experience is desired for sampling positions.
6. Must be detail oriented.
7. Able to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
8. Professional attitude,proficient communication skills, and a desire to successfully complete assignments accurately are a must.
9. Must maintain a drug-free status.
