CH2M HILL's Virginia Beach, Virginia office is growing and we are currently looking for a Geologist to join our Environmental Services team. In this exciting role you will be given the opportunity to apply your 3 plus years of field and consulting experience on a variety of projects. Typical tasks would include being a field team leader for environmental sampling events, data collection, data analyses, technical writing, and assisting project managers. All work will be performed in a manner consistent with CH2M HILL’s, and our client’s health and safety requirements. As an integral member of our team you will have the opportunity to excel within a team-oriented office environment.




job Requirements


Basic Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have a B.S. Degree in Geology with 3 years of professional consulting experience.
Candidates must have their 40hr OSHA HAZWOPER training, multimedia field sampling experience, and experience with the oversight of subcontractors.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will have 5 years of professional consulting experience.
Candidates should be a versatile consultant that wants to work on a variety of different projects and has the ability to learn new skills quickly under the guidance of others.
Candidate should be able to interact with teams spread over multiple offices.
A strong emphasis on health and safety is required with some experience with behavior-based health & safety programs as a plus.
Good communication skills are required to communicate effectively with contractors, project team, project manager, and other stakeholders.
Candidates should possess the attributes to become a strong consultant (team player, eagerness to learn and grow, self starter that takes initiative and has a service mentality).
