Facilities Manager-Consultant

We are currently seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and well versed in engineering and design work on projects within assigned discipline.
This individual will works directly with the management in the development of all projects within that department by providing the technical and managerial skills necessary to see a project through to completion.

The primary objective of this leadership position is to enhance the firm in the area of expertise represented by the department and in conjunction with the goals of management in concert with the goals of the market sector to positively contribute to the growth and profit goals of the company through assurance the company meets the customer’s expectations. This individual applies diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to a broad variety of assignments and related fields. Supervision and guidance relate largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts and policy matters. Makes decisions independently regarding engineering complexities and methods. Experience with providing these services to owners, architects, construction manager and others.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for overseeing and accomplishing engineering and design work on projects within assigned discipline.

Assigns departmental staff to a project or tasks. Ascertains that they understand, commit to the responsibility, time and cost requirements and schedule. Monitors and guides as required ensuring compliance.

Trains as required to develop staff

Develops and monitors quality assurance requirements for technical activities of the department.

Develops and monitors training programs for individual staff development.

Market the department’s services to owners, architects, construction managers, and others.
REQUIREMENTS


Requirements:

Engineering Degree

PE is desirable

Personal Attributes:
Candidate must have strong technical and design ability, excellent leadership skills, proficient interpersonal and strong negotiation skills.
