Estimator / Project Engineer

A growing Chicago based general contractor is searching for a project estimator / project engineer.

Job duties include soliciting subcontractor and supplier quotes, quantity take-offs, pricing of self perform work, preparing proposals, preparing preliminary project schedules, and subcontractor buy-out.

This posiiton will lead to a project engineering position as the company continues to grow and acquires more work.
REQUIREMENTS
Job Requirements:
- a college a degree in a related field with some experience
- general knowledge of the construction industry
- timberline, excel, and word knowledge
- organized and detailed with all paperwork/files
- ability to juggle multiple assignments/bids
- good written and verbal communication skills
