Engineering Project Mgr - Civil Land Dev

Purpose: Project Management Position:Civil/Environmental Engineer


We boast a staff of over 900 employees worldwide and seeks to expand on that number in the next two years. Winning bids on several projects for the government adds to the need for experienced individuals.

Individuals whom would like to be considered for this position will have extensive experience in the field of Civil Land Development. This experience will include but will not be limited to:Water/Waste Water, Erosion Control, Flood Control, Grading Plans, among other commercial and residential projects

The most qualified candidates will have at least 5 plus years related experience. These individuals will have experience in the development of employees as well as project leadership. Strong communication (written and verbal) are a must.

The Duties for this position include but are not limited to:

Work with senior engineers to develop conceptual designs for infrastructure projects.

Prepare design drawings for projects after conceptual development

Prepare opinions of cost for the design project.

Modify and create specifications to meet project requirements.

Lead various meetings including design review, pre-bid, pre-construction and construction coordination.

Oversee project construction with the supervision of the project manager.

Engineering of a wide variety of projects including: pressurized water systems, gravity collection systems and geometric roadway design.

Development of planning documents and feasibility studies for various types of projects.

Review of development plans for municipalities.


The most successful candidates will possess:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.

E.I.T. certification required, P.E. License recommended.

Minimum three (3) years of civil engineering, municipal engineering experience.

Problem solving and data research skills.

Self Motivation.

Ability to communicate clearly using written and verbal techniques.

Excellent knowledge of Land Development Desktop or Inroads design software.

Understanding of industry design guidelines and local codes for civil engineering projects.

A sound understanding of the procurement process for construction projects.

Experience in construction contract administration.

Experience with the design bid build process.

Fundamental drafting knowledge.

Microsoft Office Suite experience.
