Electronic Security

We are a 30 year old company with 25 employees, working as electrical contractors and electronic security installers. We work on Napco, DSC, ITI, Radionics, Ademco, Silent Knight and Firelight, as well as Simplex, Notifier and other proprietary panels. We install Northern, Keyscan, SES, FAAC and other access control systems. Commercial work is about 65% of our work, and knowledge of electronic security, CCTV, access control and fire alarms is necessary. We program DVRs, some to be viewed through a router over the internet, and you will need to know about ip addresses, tunneling through a router and using the internet to remotely view video. Cameras and how to use them, whether conventional or ip, lenses, recording methods and proper placement is important. Fire alarm codes should be familiar, the types, use and programming of panels known. In all cases, knowing how to read the manuals or, after all attempts fail, calling tech service or the manufacturer may be your method of servicing or installing.
