ESTIMATOR - CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION

We are seeking an ESTIMATOR to assist our Chief Estimator with concrete construction projects up to $1 Million in the Dallas Fort Worth area.Duties to include analyzing plans and specifications, performing material take offs, preparing itemized cost and labor estimates, preparing bid schedules, participation in the value engineering process, and negotiating and drafting of change orders and other construction contract documents. In addition, the job will entail some project management duties. We are looking for someone who has the ability to clearly communicate his or her bids to our foremen and crews to ensure profitability on each project. The ability to see the “big picture” on construction projects is a must.

REQUIREMENTS
•2-5 years experience in construction estimating preferred. A concrete formwork or turnkey concrete background is preferred, but any estimating experience will be considered. Experience in a related industry or skills transferable to this industry will be considered.
•Excellent organization and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail•A motivated, quick learner with the ability conceptualize the construction project and fill in any missing gaps•Ability to professionally interact with customers, owners, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors and other players in the construction process•Possesses computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with plan reporting services and industry standard estimating programs helpful.•An attitude focusing on exceptional quality and service
